Overview

The Washington DC Corporate Citizenship / Partners in Philanthropy Awards (often branded as the Corporate Philanthropy Awards) is run by the Washington Business Journal to honor Greater Washington companies that demonstrate outstanding corporate giving, volunteerism, and community impact. It recognizes both total and per-employee giving as well as qualitative community engagement. Companies pursue it for local brand credibility, recognition among regional business leaders, and editorial coverage in the Washington Business Journal.

Eligibility Requirements

• Company must conduct significant business operations in the Greater Washington DC region (DC, Maryland, and Virginia suburbs served by Washington Business Journal)
• Must report corporate philanthropic giving data for the most recent full fiscal year, including total giving and/or giving per employee
• Must complete the Washington Business Journal 2026 Corporate Philanthropy nomination form by the stated deadline; nonprofits are not eligible except as beneficiaries of corporate giving
