Triangle CFO of the Year

Overview

Triangle CFO of the Year is a regional awards program run by Triangle Business Journal that honors chief financial officers and senior finance leaders for outstanding financial management, strategic leadership, and contributions to their organizations in North Carolina’s Triangle region. The program typically recognizes executives across categories such as large, midsize and small companies, as well as nonprofit or private company CFOs. Companies pursue it for local visibility among the Triangle business community, third‑party validation by an established business publication, and networking at the awards event. It is an editorially curated recognition, based on nominations reviewed by the publication.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be currently serving as a chief financial officer or equivalent senior financial executive (e.g., VP of Finance, Treasurer) at the time of nomination
• Nominee’s organization must be based in or have significant operations in the Triangle region of North Carolina (e.g., Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding area)
• Nominee must be a full-time employee of the organization and demonstrate notable achievements in financial leadership, strategic planning, or organizational impact within the past year
