Triad Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business (sometimes promoted as Women Who Mean Business) honors female leaders in the Piedmont Triad region who demonstrate excellence in business, leadership, and community impact across sectors such as healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, law, retail and real estate. The program is run editorially by the Triad Business Journal, part of the American City Business Journals network, with honorees selected based on nominations and editorial review rather than paid placements. Companies and organizations pursue it for regional visibility, credibility with peers and clients, and networking with other recognized leaders. It is a well-established regional business-journal franchise that signals strong local reputation and leadership impact.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a woman in a leadership role at a business or organization located in the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point and surrounding area).
• Nominee must demonstrate significant professional achievement and leadership within her organization or industry.
• Nominee should have a documented record of community involvement or impact in the Triad region.
