St. Louis Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business is a regional recognition program run by the St. Louis Business Journal spotlighting high‑achieving women executives, entrepreneurs and leaders whose professional success and community impact significantly influence the St. Louis business landscape. Honorees are selected through the publication’s editorial review based on career achievements, leadership and contributions, rather than sponsorship. Companies and individuals pursue it for local visibility, employer‑branding value and the credibility of an independently curated Business Journal list.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a woman business owner, executive or professional whose primary work location is in the St. Louis metropolitan area or whose business has a significant presence there.
• Must demonstrate notable career achievement, leadership and/or entrepreneurship, with clear impact on her organization or industry.
• Self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted, but nominees must be available for editorial interviews and photography if selected.
