Overview

The St. Louis Business Journal’s Health Care Heroes (also branded as Heroes in Healthcare/Health Care Heroes) awards recognize physicians, nurses, executives and other professionals who have made outstanding contributions to health care in the St. Louis region. Run by the St. Louis Business Journal’s editorial team, the program highlights clinical excellence, innovation, leadership and community impact across hospitals, practices and related organizations. Organizations pursue it for regional visibility, third‑party validation and coverage in the Journal’s special section and event. It is an editorially selected, nomination-based regional business journal award rather than a pay-to-play listing.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a health care professional (such as physician, nurse, administrator, researcher, or allied health professional) or organization significantly impacting health care in the St. Louis region
• Nominee’s primary work or service must be based in the greater St. Louis area served by the St. Louis Business Journal
• Nominator must submit an online form with a detailed description of the nominee’s achievements and impact during the most recent year
