South Florida Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business

Overview

South Florida Business Journal’s women-in-business franchise (formerly branded as “Outstanding Women in Business” and more recently as “Women Who Mean Business” or “Influential Business Women”) honors high-achieving female executives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders across industries in the South Florida region. Run by the editorial team of the South Florida Business Journal, the program is part of the American City Business Journals family of regional business awards and is based on nominations and editorial review rather than pay-to-play advertising. Companies pursue it for regional visibility, networking with other C‑suite leaders, and credible third‑party recognition in a key local business publication.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must identify as a woman and be a senior-level business leader, entrepreneur, or professional
• Nominee must work for an organization with a significant presence in the South Florida Business Journal coverage area (generally Miami-Dade, Broward, and/or Palm Beach counties)
• Self-nominations and third-party nominations accepted; nominees should demonstrate notable professional achievement, leadership, and community impact
