Overview

Leaders in Diversity / Diversity in Business is a recognition program run by the South Florida Business Journal that honors individuals and organizations demonstrating outstanding commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and broader South Florida community. The award highlights leaders who advance inclusive hiring, promotion, supplier diversity and community engagement. Companies pursue it for regional visibility among business decision-makers and as an external validation of their DEI efforts, with honorees selected through the Journal’s editorial nomination and review process rather than pay-to-play advertising.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be based in or have significant operations in South Florida (typically Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties)
• Open to both individuals and organizations demonstrating measurable impact in diversity, equity and inclusion
• Self-nominations and third-party nominations accepted via the official South Florida Business Journal online form
