Overview

South Florida Business Journal’s Healthcare Heroes (often referred to as Healthcare Heroes or Heroes in Healthcare) honors individuals and organizations in South Florida’s health care community for outstanding professional excellence, innovation, compassion, and community impact. The program is run by the South Florida Business Journal’s editorial and events teams and is one of its flagship regional recognition programs. Companies and professionals pursue it for local credibility, media exposure, and networking with health care and business leaders; honorees are chosen through an editorially managed nomination and judging process, not pay-to-play advertising.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a health care professional, executive, organization, or program serving the South Florida region (typically Miami-Dade, Broward, and/or Palm Beach counties)
• Nominee’s primary work must be in or closely tied to health care delivery, administration, life sciences, or health-related community services
• Nominator must submit an online nomination form with narrative responses and supporting details by the stated deadline; self-nominations are allowed
