Overview

South Florida Business Journal’s Best Places to Work awards recognize outstanding employers in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties that demonstrate high levels of employee engagement, satisfaction and workplace culture. Run by the South Florida Business Journal (part of the American City Business Journals network), the program is based largely on confidential employee survey data collected and tabulated by a third‑party research firm. Companies pursue it for regional employer‑brand visibility, help with recruiting and retention, and the credibility that comes from an editorially organized, data‑driven ranking rather than a pay‑to‑play listing.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have a physical office or significant operations in South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties)
• Must have a minimum number of employees in the region (commonly at least 10–15; varies by category)
• Must complete the nomination/application and participate in the third‑party employee engagement survey by the stated deadlines
