Silicon Valley Healthcare Heroes (also called Heroes in Healthcare) is a regional recognition program by the Silicon Valley Business Journal honoring physicians, nurses, executives and other professionals making significant contributions to healthcare in the South Bay/Silicon Valley region. The award is editorially driven by the Business Journal’s newsroom and highlights individual impact, leadership, innovation and community service rather than company performance. Organizations and peers typically pursue it for local credibility, visibility in the healthcare ecosystem and coverage in a widely read regional business publication.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be an individual working in healthcare (e.g., clinician, executive, researcher, public health or support professional)
• Nominee’s primary work and impact must be in the Silicon Valley/South Bay region served by the Silicon Valley Business Journal
• Nominator must provide a written description of the nominee’s contributions, leadership and community impact within the nomination form
