Overview

Most Admired CEOs is a regional recognition program by the San Francisco Business Times honoring top chief executives across industries in the Bay Area for vision, leadership, innovation and community impact. It is an editorially selected awards program run by the newsroom of the San Francisco Business Times (a regional publication of American City Business Journals). Companies and boards pursue it for regional brand visibility, employer-brand credibility and networking with other high‑profile leaders. Selection is based on journalist-driven nominations and vetting rather than pay‑to‑play or purely data-driven rankings.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a CEO, president, executive director or equivalent top executive role
• Nominee’s organization must be based in or have a significant presence in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Nominee must have been in their current leadership role for at least 1 year as of the nomination deadline
