Overview

San Francisco Business Times’ Health Care Heroes (often styled as Healthcare Heroes or Heroes in Healthcare) is an editorial awards program recognizing outstanding individuals and organizations improving health care in the San Francisco Bay Area. Run by the San Francisco Business Times newsroom, it highlights clinicians, executives, innovators and community leaders whose work advances patient care, access and health equity. Companies and institutions pursue it for regional visibility among Bay Area business and health leaders and the credibility of an established business journal’s independent editorial selection process.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be an individual or organization working in or closely with the health care sector serving the San Francisco Bay Area (e.g., hospitals, clinics, health systems, life sciences, public health, community organizations).
• Nominee must have demonstrated a significant, recent impact on health care quality, access, innovation, or community health in the region.
• Nominator must complete the San Francisco Business Times online nomination form with specific examples and metrics illustrating the nominee’s contributions.
