Overview

The Bay Area Real Estate Deals of the Year Awards, produced by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal, recognize the biggest, boldest and most creative commercial real estate deals completed across the greater Bay Area in the prior year. The program honors major leases, sales, developments and community-impact projects along with the teams and visionaries behind them, including an overall Deal of the Year. Companies pursue it for regional visibility among Bay Area investors, developers and brokers and because winners are selected through an editorially driven review by the Business Journals’ real estate newsrooms, not pay-to-play.

Eligibility Requirements

• Deal must be a commercial real estate transaction or development located in the greater Bay Area (Napa to Monterey and surrounding counties)
• Deal must have been completed or reached a significant milestone during 2025 for the 2026 awards cycle
• Nominations must provide key details on the transaction, parties involved, size, timing and significance, and be submitted through the official San Francisco Business Times nomination form by the stated deadline
