San Antonio Business Journal’s Health Care Heroes awards (often referred to as Health Care Heroes / Healthcare Heroes) honor individuals in the San Antonio area who have made significant contributions to patient care, medical research, health care education, and related fields. The program is run editorially by the San Antonio Business Journal, part of the Business Journals network, and winners are selected by judges based on measurable impact rather than paid placement. Organizations and professionals pursue it for local visibility, third‑party validation, and coverage in a special print/online section and awards event.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a health care professional or individual whose work impacts health care (e.g., physician, nurse, researcher, educator, administrator, or allied role) in the San Antonio region
• Nominations must demonstrate measurable results and specific impact in areas such as education, military medicine, research, or clinical care
