Pittsburgh Business Times’ Best Places to Work awards recognize employers in the Pittsburgh region that demonstrate outstanding workplace culture, employee engagement, and benefits, based largely on confidential employee survey data. The program is run by the Pittsburgh Business Times in partnership with an independent survey firm, and winners are highlighted in special editorial coverage and at an awards event. Companies pursue it for regional employer branding, recruiting advantages, and third‑party validation of culture. Results are data-driven and editorially curated rather than pay‑to‑play.

Eligibility Requirements

• Organization must have a physical presence and employees in the greater Pittsburgh, PA region
• Must have a minimum number of employees (typically at least 10–15 local employees) to support statistically valid surveying
• Must agree to participate in the third‑party employee engagement survey administered for the program
