Overview

Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Deals/Best in Real Estate (sometimes branded in coverage as recognizing notable Philadelphia structures) is an editorial awards program honoring the most significant commercial real estate deals and projects in the Greater Philadelphia region. It is run by the Philadelphia Business Journal newsroom, which selects honorees based on impact, scale, complexity and market significance rather than a pay-to-play model. CRE firms, developers, brokers and owners pursue it for regional visibility among investors and peers and the credibility of being vetted by PBJ editors.

Eligibility Requirements

• Project, transaction or deal must be a commercial real estate deal (development, lease, sale, financing or repositioning).
• Deal must be located in the Greater Philadelphia area as defined by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
• Deal must have closed or the project must have reached a significant milestone (such as completion or major phase delivery) during the eligible 2025–early 2026 time window specified on the 2026 nomination form.
