Overview

Newsweek’s America’s Greenest Companies ranking recognizes U.S. companies that are making measurable progress on environmental sustainability. It is run by Newsweek in collaboration with Plant-A Insights Group and GIST Impact, using publicly available sustainability data and a multi-criteria scoring model. Companies pursue it for third-party validation, reputational value, and credibility with customers, investors, and employees; the program’s published methodology and named research partners are key credibility signals.

Eligibility Requirements

• Public or private companies operating in the United States
• Must have published updated sustainability information between January 1, 2024 and July 31, 2025
• Must meet the minimum criteria established by the European Union sustainability standards
