It is run by Newsweek in partnership with Best Practice Institute (BPI), which conducts the research and benchmarking. Companies pursue it for third-party credibility around financial growth, customer/stakeholder ratings, and ethical/sustainable business practices; the ranking’s methodology and broad cross-industry scope are the main credibility signals.
