Louisville Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business

Overview

Louisville Outstanding Women in Business (also branded as Women Who Mean Business) is a Louisville Business First recognition program honoring women executives, entrepreneurs and leaders who have made significant professional achievements and community impact in the Louisville area. It is run editorially by Louisville Business First, part of the American City Business Journals network, and selections are made by the publication’s editors based on nominations. Companies and individuals pursue it for regional visibility, credibility with peers and clients, and coverage in Louisville Business First’s print and online platforms. As a Business First editorial awards program, it carries the publication’s regional business-media credibility rather than being a pay-to-play list.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a woman in a leadership role (executive, entrepreneur, or key decision-maker) at a business or organization in the Greater Louisville area.
• Nominee’s organization must have a significant presence or operations in the Louisville region.
• Self-nominations and nominations by others are accepted, and nominees must be available for profile coverage and recognition events if selected.
