Overview

The Los Angeles Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Awards recognize companies across the Greater Los Angeles area that excel in workplace culture, benefits, leadership, and overall employee experience. The program is run in partnership with an independent survey firm (Best Companies Group), which conducts employee and employer questionnaires to generate data-driven rankings. Organizations pursue this award for local employer branding, talent attraction, and third‑party validation in a competitive LA market. Because rankings are based on structured survey data rather than pay-to-play editorial, it carries meaningful regional credibility.

Eligibility Requirements

• Company must have a physical office or significant operations in Los Angeles County or the Greater Los Angeles area as defined by the program
• Must meet minimum employee count requirements (commonly at least 15–25 US employees and a minimum number in the LA region, as defined by Best Companies Group)
• Must agree to participate in the two-part assessment process (employer questionnaire and anonymous employee survey) by the program deadlines
