Overview

Kansas City Business Journal’s CFO of the Year awards recognize outstanding chief financial officers in the Kansas City area for excellence in financial leadership, strategic management, and contributions to their organizations and community. The program is produced by the Kansas City Business Journal, part of The Business Journals network, and is based on an editorial review of nominations rather than pay-to-play advertising. Companies pursue it for regional visibility, credibility with peers and investors, and coverage in the journal’s print and online channels. Honorees are profiled by the publication and recognized at an in-person awards event.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a current chief financial officer or the top senior financial executive (or equivalent title) of their organization
• Organization must be based in or have significant operations in the Kansas City metropolitan area
• Nominee must have served in the role long enough to demonstrate measurable financial and strategic impact, as described in the nomination form
