Kansas City 40 Under 40

Overview

Kansas City Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honors 40 rising business and community leaders in the Kansas City metro under the age of 40. The program is run by the editorial staff of the Kansas City Business Journal and recognizes professional achievement, leadership and community involvement. Honorees gain local visibility, networking opportunities and coverage in a special print/online feature and at an awards event, and selection is editorial rather than pay-to-play.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be under the age of 40 at the time of recognition in 2026 (generally by the spring awards date).
• Nominee must work in the Kansas City metropolitan area and be in a business or professional leadership role.
• Nominee should demonstrate significant professional achievements and meaningful community involvement; self-nominations and third‑party nominations are accepted.
