Houston Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business

Overview

Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards honor female leaders in the greater Houston area who have demonstrated outstanding business achievement, leadership, and community involvement across a range of industries. The program is run editorially by the Houston Business Journal, part of The Business Journals network, and includes both a published feature and an awards event. Companies and individuals pursue it for local credibility, visibility with the regional business community, and third‑party validation from a respected business news outlet.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a woman in a leadership role (executive, owner, or senior manager) at a business or organization in the greater Houston area
• Nominee’s organization must conduct significant business or operations in the Houston region
• Self-nominations or nominations by others are accepted, and nominees must demonstrate measurable business success and community or industry impact
