Overview

Houston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work awards recognize Houston-area employers that demonstrate outstanding workplace culture, employee engagement, and benefits. The program is run by the Houston Business Journal (part of American City Business Journals) and is based on confidential employee survey data administered by a third-party research partner, not editorial opinion alone. Companies pursue it to bolster employer branding, attract and retain talent, and gain local media visibility and recognition at an awards event.

Eligibility Requirements

• Organization must have a physical presence and employees in the Greater Houston area
• Must meet the minimum local employee count required for the appropriate size category (e.g., small, medium, large, extra-large)
• Must agree to participate in an independent employee engagement survey administered by the program’s research partner within the specified survey window
