Pacific Business News’ Women Who Mean Business (sometimes referenced as Hawaii Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business) honors female leaders, entrepreneurs and executives who are making significant contributions to Hawaii’s business community and civic life. It is run by Pacific Business News, the Honolulu-based American City Business Journals outlet. Honorees are selected through an editorial review of nominations rather than pay-to-play placement, and are profiled in a special PBN publication and recognized at an annual gala, making it a respected regional credibility signal for women in leadership.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a woman in a leadership, executive, entrepreneurial or key professional role at a business or organization serving Hawaii.
• Nominee must work in Hawaii for a significant portion of their time at the time of nomination.
• Self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted, and nominators must provide information on the nominee’s professional achievements, community involvement and leadership impact.
