Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

Overview

The Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (formerly the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices) recognize companies that score among sustainability leaders in their industry through S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). They are run by S&P Dow Jones Indices with S&P Global Sustainable1, and companies pursue inclusion for credibility with investors, ESG-focused index tracking, and public sustainability validation. Selection is based on CSA scores and index methodology, which provides a strong third-party credibility signal for global public companies.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be assessed through S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)
• Must meet the relevant industry and index methodology criteria for inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices
• Membership decisions are based on CSA score cut-off dates and annual index review timing
