Denver Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business

Overview

Outstanding Women in Business (sometimes branded as Women Who Mean Business in other Business Journal markets) is Denver Business Journal’s annual editorial award honoring high-achieving women executives, entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders in the Denver metro area. The program is run by the Denver Business Journal newsroom, with honorees selected based on professional achievement, leadership, innovation and community impact rather than sponsorship. Companies and individuals pursue it for regional visibility, reputational credibility and networking with other top leaders, and it carries the weight of an editorially vetted business journal franchise rather than a pay-to-play list.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a woman in a leadership role (executive, founder/owner, senior professional or nonprofit leader)
• Nominee must work in the Denver metro or broader Front Range business community covered by Denver Business Journal
• Nominee must demonstrate significant professional achievement, leadership and community involvement; self-nominations are allowed
