Overview

The Denver Business Journal CFO Awards (often referenced as Denver CFO of the Year) honor top chief financial officers and senior financial executives in the Denver metro area who demonstrate outstanding financial leadership, strategic vision and community impact. Run editorially by the Denver Business Journal, the awards spotlight CFOs across company-size and sector categories, and winners are profiled in the publication and recognized at a dedicated event. Companies pursue it for regional credibility, exposure to the business community, and third‑party validation from an established business media outlet.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a Chief Financial Officer or hold the highest-ranking financial leadership position in their organization in the greater Denver area.
• Nominee must live and work in the metro Denver area and have been employed by their current company for at least 12 months.
• Nominator must provide detailed responses and 2025 company revenue information to place the nominee in the correct size category; nominees cannot have previously won CFO of the Year at their current company.
