Overview

The Cincinnati Business Courier’s Health Care Heroes Awards (sometimes referred to as Healthcare Heroes) honor individuals and teams in Greater Cincinnati who make outstanding contributions to health care through innovation, leadership, clinical excellence, community outreach and patient care. Run by the editorial staff of the Cincinnati Business Courier, the program highlights physicians, nurses, executives, entrepreneurs and other professionals whose work elevates the region’s health ecosystem. Companies and organizations pursue it for regional visibility, employer-brand credibility and third‑party editorial recognition from a respected local business journal.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a health care professional, leader, or contributor (e.g., clinician, executive, entrepreneur, community health worker, etc.) serving the Greater Cincinnati region
• Nominee’s work must demonstrate significant impact in areas such as patient care, innovation, community outreach, leadership, or improving health outcomes
• Nominator must submit an online nomination form through the Cincinnati Business Courier website by the 2026 deadline; self-nominations are generally accepted
