Chicago CFO of the Year

Overview

Chicago CFO of the Year is a regional recognition program honoring top chief financial officers in the Chicago area for leadership, strategic impact, and financial stewardship. It is run by the Chicago chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI Chicago) and highlighted by local business media, making it a credible peer- and committee-reviewed accolade for finance leaders. Companies pursue it to spotlight their CFOs’ contributions to growth, governance, and community impact within the Chicagoland business ecosystem.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must be a Chief Financial Officer or equivalent financial executive
• Minimum tenure of 2 years in current CFO role as of March 1, 2026 (estimated based on prior-cycle criteria)
• Candidate and their organization must be based in the Chicagoland metropolitan area (Counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake (IL), McHenry or Will)
