Charlotte Outstanding Women in Business / Women Who Mean Business

Overview

Charlotte Business Journal’s Women in Business Awards (previously branded locally as Women Who Mean Business/Outstanding Women in Business) honors approximately 25 high‑achieving women executives, entrepreneurs and professionals who are driving business results and community impact in the Charlotte region. It is run editorially by the Charlotte Business Journal, part of The Business Journals network, and is recognized as a credible, journalistic selection rather than a pay‑to‑play program. Companies and individuals pursue it for regional visibility, employer‑branding value, and networking with other leaders featured by CBJ.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must identify as a woman
• Nominee must live and work in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area
• Nominee should be a business leader making a significant impact in her organization and/or the local community across any industry or profession
