Birmingham CFO of the Year

Overview

Birmingham Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Awards (sometimes referenced in coverage as a Birmingham CFO of the Year honor) recognize top chief financial officers and senior finance leaders across the Birmingham, Alabama business community for outstanding financial stewardship, leadership and strategic impact. The program is run by the Birmingham Business Journal, part of the American City Business Journals network, and winners are selected through an editorially managed review of nominations rather than a pay-to-play model. Companies pursue it for regional visibility among executives, investors and peers, and because BBJ’s awards carry strong local credibility within the Birmingham business ecosystem.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nominee must serve as a chief financial officer or senior finance executive (or equivalent role) for their organization
• Organization must have a significant presence or headquarters in the Birmingham, Alabama area
• Nominator must submit an online nomination form providing details on the CFO’s achievements, leadership and impact within the last year
