2. Make connections and grow your network with other nominees, service providers, community business leaders, and the ABJ team throughout the awards program life cycle
3. Share stories of success for your team and company - these stories may end up published in the ABJ's print and digital editions!

How do I make my application stand out?

Accepted Answer

1. Show, don’t tell! Use concrete and recent examples for how your nominee has made a local impact. The best nominations are clear, short, complete, and specific!
2. Think about a storyline for your nominee - what are some big challenges that they have faced or complex problems they’ve solved? Go beyond what we could read from a resume or LinkedIn profile.
3. Keep nominating! We receive a high volume of great nominations each year for each program. Many winners are nominated 3 or 4 times before winning!

Do I need to attend the award luncheon?

Accepted Answer

Every nominee is expected to attend the reception in the event that they are called up on stage to accept an award
