Albany Business Review’s Best Places to Work awards recognize employers in New York’s Capital Region that demonstrate exceptional employee engagement, workplace culture, and benefits. The program is run in partnership with survey firm Quantum Workplace, which collects confidential employee feedback to determine rankings, making it a data-driven and editorially vetted honor rather than a pay-to-play list. Companies pursue it for local brand visibility, help with recruiting and retention, and third-party validation of their workplace practices within the Albany-area business community.

Eligibility Requirements

• Organization must have a physical presence and employ staff in New York’s Capital Region (Albany-area market served by Albany Business Review).
• Must meet the minimum employee threshold required for Quantum Workplace to conduct a statistically valid engagement survey (often around 10+ local employees; exact cutoff specified in the nomination portal).
• Must agree to allow Quantum Workplace to conduct anonymous employee surveys and meet required response-rate thresholds to be considered for ranking.
